It was a beautiful day for Clarksburg Heritage Days that took place on Saturday, June 24. The event was put on by the Clarksburg Historical Society.
It was held to showcase the 265-year-old town of Clarksburg’s rich history. It started with the Clark Family Memorial Cemetery Dedication; then a day of free, fun activities and interactive displays. Visitors also enjoyed live music, face painting, a moon bounce, costumed docents, a free shuttle ride to visit a 1909 two-room schoolhouse, and much more! Clarksburg kindergarten to 5th grade students could participate in a coloring contest.
Lion Joanne Woodson joined me to talk to visitors and hand out our Lions Club Centennial brochure and flyers on our fund raising event at Ledo’s and talk about the upcoming Celebrate Damascus events.
