The Damascus Lions Club participated in the NBC4- Health and Fitness Expo, at the Washington Convention Center, again this year, our shift was Saturday morning, Mar 10th from 9:00-1:00.
Lions Jenny Allen and Chris Fletcher gave up their Saturday morning to work the LCOF Mobile Health Unit at the convention center. We worked the sign-in table where we registered well over 100 visitors for vision, hearing and eye pressure screenings. The hearing tests were conducted by University of Maryland Audiology students again this year. We also signed-in 4 preschool screenings.
Lion Marcia Holpuch met up with us at the convention center to work with the Camp Merrick. Lion Jenny and I carpooled to the Shady Grove Metro Station then took the train to the Convention Center. We arrived back at the Shady Grove Metro Station and from there we went to lunch together at the Out of the Way Café.
