The spring Pancake Breakfast and Bake Table event was held Saturday, March 21, in the dining room at Damascus UMC from 7-11am. On Friday, March 20, the set-up helpers made the dining room ready; the kitchen helpers prepared the needed food. They were Lions Sue Suddath and Kenny Sue Robertson, Certified Kitchen Manager of DUMC.
Early Saturday morning the food and drinks were prepared. Bake Sale Table items were accepted. Helpers during the day were Lions Barbara and Tony Barry, Martin Carr, Ken Cook, Chris Fletcher, George Hibbard (and granddaughter), Charlie and Marcia Holpuch, Tom Jackson, Del Mayhew, Ray Molesworth, Jack Peters, Ken Phillips, Gary Rogers, Julie Sain, Joy and Warren Schwab, Roy Stanley, Sue Suddath, Jennifer Warfield, and John Washington. Also helping were Leos Erica Evans, Brandon Saunders, and Michelle Romero; Boy Scouts Gage North and Anton Hanger; and Cub Scouts Pack 438, Jean Panning, leader, with Maicel Panning and Connor and Stacy Stonich.
We served 234 for breakfast. The Bake Table received items and/or donations from Lions and Partners in Service. Lions Mary Frances Gosnell, Ann Davis and Fran Burlas sold the many items. Bake Table profit ws $326. Profit from the breakfast was $ 2, 121.35 with a total profit of $2,447.35.
