President’s Message April 2013

April 2, 2013

washington“Spring has sprung, the grass has rize,I wonder where the flowers is”.

Finally spring seems to have arrived. The “death sentence” imposed on Punxsutawney Phil who said spring would come early, has been lifted. The Damascus Lions seem to be warming up as well.

Let’s give a big thumbs-up for everyone who helped make March a great month for us. Thumbs-up to Lion Charlie Hertel for leading the Blood Drive. Two thumbs-up for Lion’s Sue & Joy for a great Pancake Breakfast! Thumbs-up for those of you who attended the NBC4 Health & Fitness Expo and finally, to Lion’s Marcia and Charlie Holpuch for the In-House Auction. Even though I am still stuck with my organ, it was a great success!

Keep being pro-active in talking up the Damascus Lions Club. Tell people who we are and what we do. Let’s not be shy about it.  Let’s rock! Or Roar! We need new members and we need to keep in contact with the ones who are not able to be there with us.

You only have 3 more months with me at the helm. Let’s make the most of it.

Thanks, KL John
