Fellow Lions,
Here we are a week from having a devastating hurricane blow through our area and having hundreds of thousands of people still with out power or even homeless. I have heard people say a week before this storm that it would not amount to much for us. That the weather people where making a big deal about it.Well think of this. One of two computer models had the hurricane coming in around Ocean City, MD. If it had stayed on that track, it wuld have been a BIG for all of us. Let’s stop nad think of all the people who have lost everything, including their lives, and pray for them.
Okay. Let me get off my soap box and let’s talk about the Fall Pancake Breakfast and what a great job Lion Joy and Lion Sue did! It was great to see Lion Sue back in action. Thanks to all who helped out. I think it was a big success!
At our October 18th meeting we saw a number of “ghoul” costumes. Witches, The Flintstones, train conductors, flappers, they all came out we had a great time. A big thanks to Good Witch Lion Marsha for getting this together and a tip of the hat to Minnie Pearl.
We have White cane coming up and I know Lion Wayne still has openings. Let’s get out their and do what we do best.
