October is here. Congratulations to our newest LION, John Ampia-Addison. He was inducted at our September 20th meeting by PDG Dee Hawkins. John is the pastor at Wesley Grove United Methodist Church, as well as other small churches in the area. Welcome Pastor John.
PDG Dee Hawkins presented the program- Challenge 100 making a difference with YOUTH, VISION, HUNGER and ENVIRONMENT projects. We need to work on these.
October 4th at Charter Night we will be celebrating our 70th years of service to the community. I look forward to seeing you at Dutch’s Daughter in Frederick.
October 15th is the Pancake Breakfast. This is usually the largest gathering and the most successful fundraiser. Lots of help is needed in the kitchen, at the Steam Table, Dining Room, Bake Table, Dishwashing, Set-up, and Cleaning up. Tickets are available to sell or buy some and give them to others.
