Skate Park Dedication Photos

April 20, 2011

Photos from the  public ceremony dedicating the new skate park at the Damascus Community Center  The center is located at 25520 Oak Drive, Damascus.

The park, called Ryan’s Inspiration Skate Park, is being dedicated to Ryan Didone, the son of Montgomery County Police Captain Thomas Didone. Ryan was a sophomore at Damascus High School when he died in 2008 in a car accident at the age of 15. Capt. Didone has been actively involved in an effort to ensure that the skate park was built. The Didone family donated the funds to pay for materials for the park and the Damascus Lions Club will be responsible for maintaining the skate park.
