May 4 was a night of the shining stars of our local Youth Organizations. The Lions plan this evening to honor our Youth and to provide them with financial assistance for their designated projects. In attendance were 54 youth and their teachers, leaders and parents. In listening to these young people give their acceptance speeches; we realize all the good and capable youth we have in our community.
The Damascus Lions gave $3500 to these organizations as well as 5 $1000 Scholarships. A great investment as each organization requested assistance for a particular project. Following are those attending and their projects –
